The film was designed to be shot in three days.  Before the Mike Figgis film TimeCode, 3 Days was the forerunner in real time filmmaking.  David and his cast developed the script through improvisation and then over a three day period shot an entire feature film.

In addition to the this gritty black and white feature, there is a behind the scenes documentary on the making of the film that is included with the film when you purchase it.
