This list is based on the films I saw. It is just my opinion and
I would always suggest you view a piece for yourself. Having said
that, I believe these are very talented filmmakers who you should
support. And if you're a fellow filmmaker... you've got to see
what's out there! This stuff is great! Click on the picture
and head talk to the filmmakers!
"Townies" Just as good as
any Kevin Smith or John Hughes coming of age film. Histeryical!
"Saving Sophie" Director Lorraine
Portman has crafted an orginal-funny comedy that will have you laughing
outloud from the start of the film all of the way until the end.
She adapted her orgininal stage play and has created a film you will
enjoy.
"Sandstorm" An amazing
film by actor turned director Michael Mhonen. It deals with a
topic that you must read about!
"John's Blender" Justin Edwards has
created a first time piece that gives you a glimpse into what college
students are thinking about and accomplishing. Some outstanding
performances and one particular visual sequeence at the end that is
simply one of the best around.
"Cerebral Print" Austin Ford, a very
talented actor, director, writer, basically your do it all kind of a
person has a series of brilliantly funny shorts called, "Cerebral
Print" I got a chance to see a couple of them and folks...
they... are... funny!
"Lamb
Chops" Another first time student director, Sean Hunt has
made a very funny short.
"Josh's
First Day" A funny short worth a look at.
"Emma's Visit" A cute short by
Elena Carr. Emma Nicolas is superb in the lead role.
"Clean
Flicks" If you're a filmmaker, artist or anyone who cares
about free speech, this film will piss you off! Why? It's
not because the film is bad... it's great... but what Clean Flicks is
doing is terrible!
"All or Nothing" A fun mockumentary.
